Lucas L. Foote
Licensed Massage Therapist
Coming from a large family in the heartland of America, I spent many summers staying on my grandparent's farm in western Colorado. I was drawn to Colorado for the natural beauty that surrounds the Western Slope, and the shared mentality of its residents and myself. I moved to charming Charleston in 2018 and began directing the massage program at Southeastern College, and am now Department Chair across the massage programs at 5 Southeastern College locations. I hold a BA in Psychology from Keiser University and am working toward an MA in Somatic Psychology.
A 2012 graduate of Technical College of the Rockies in Delta, Colorado, I obtained my massage certification and training in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, Reflexology, and Chair massage modalities. Since graduation, I have studied with a bodywork mentor, and added several modalities to my repertoire including:
Craniosacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute
Manual Lymphatic Drainage from the Chikly Health Institute
Healing Touch from Healing Beyond Borders
Oncology Massage from the Society for Oncology Massage
My next endeavor is integrating the clinical applications of psychology to bodywork sessions through a modality called Somatic Psychology. I currently assist courses with the institutes listed above and love to travel and teach these modalities to practitioners around the country.
My approach to care is integration of my modalities as needed into a complete session that we will plan together. My passion is in helping clients achieve a better quality of life through manual therapies and holistic healing. I have a zeal for learning, teaching, connecting, integrating, and discovery, trying to figure out the key to effective bodywork for each individual.
